Yes. In Victoria, all EV charger installations must be carried out by a licenced electrician. JEN Electrical's team are fully licenced and will issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion.
Most straightforward residential installations — such as a garage or carport install with a nearby switchboard — take between 2 and 4 hours. More complex jobs involving long cable runs, switchboard upgrades, or heritage properties may take a full day.
Absolutely. We have extensive experience with Melbourne's heritage and Victorian-era homes, including brick, weatherboard, and terrace properties. We plan cable routes carefully to minimise impact on the property's character.
Yes — many modern smart chargers (such as the MyEnergi Zappi, Evnex, Ohme, and Fronius) are designed to prioritise solar energy for charging. We configure these integrations as part of the installation.
Both options are available. We can supply and install a charger as a complete package, or install a unit you've already purchased. We'll advise you on the best choice for your situation.
Single-phase chargers deliver up to 7.2kW and are suitable for most homes. Three-phase chargers deliver 11kW or 22kW and are faster, but require a three-phase power supply. We assess your property and advise accordingly.
